Background
Emma Covacevich specialises in corporate law with a focus on energy and resources. She has provided advice on the development and ongoing operation of a number of significant oil and gas projects in both Australia and New Zealand, and is experienced in advising on all aspects of upstream exploration and development, downstream supply and distribution of petroleum products.
Emma has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating a range of project agreements. These include joint operating agreements, wholesale (upstream) gas supply agreements, liquid hydrocarbon supply agreements, gas balancing agreements, onshore and offshore drilling agreements, agreements for the transportation of gas and liquid hydrocarbons (via pipeline and trucking), and pipeline interconnection and metering agreements. She also has experience in advising on energy-related competition issues as well as land access and native title issues.
She has also been involved with farm-in agreements and the acquisition and disposal of interests in petroleum tenements, pipelines, oil and gas joint ventures and LPG equipment.
