Media Release: Clayton Utz wins second global innovation award, for custom-built AcquiRE client solution

Sydney, 13 November 2019: A custom-built workflow tool developed by a team in Clayton Utz's Forensic and Technology Services (FTS) practice has won a global innovation award for the second year running.

The AcquiRE tool won the Best Innovation: Community Choice Award at the 6th annual Relativity Innovation Awards – part of the 10th Annual Relativity Fest global e-discovery conference held in Chicago last month.

Using the Relativity platform (a web-delivered platform to collate, analyse, search, act and report on available data), FTS director Deepak Pillai and his team built AcquiRE as a solution for a client needing to undertake compulsory acquisition of land parcels across multiple regions for a large government infrastructure project.

AcquiRE automates the task of collating documents for review including reporting, notifications to parties and generating output documents saving hundreds of hours of manual time. AcquiRE manages all the stages of compulsory land acquisition, as well as generating real time progress updates, due diligence reports and standard acquisition documentation to support a project.

FTS national practice group leader Paul Fontanot said the award reflected the ability and agility of the FTS team to develop tailored, smart solutions to client problems. "We're proud to flex our creative muscle and help our clients by delivering impactful, innovative solutions that are saving them time and money."

This is the second time Clayton Utz has won the Community Choice Award for Best Innovation at the Relativity Innovation Awards - having won for its Provisor intelligent document management application in 2018.
