Media Release: Clayton Utz congratulates Sydney Water on its recognition at the NEC Contracts Awards 2020

19 June 2020: Clayton Utz congratulates Sydney Water on being named Client of the Year at the NEC Awards 2020.
 
Clayton Utz is proud to have collaborated with Sydney Water and HKA in the implementation of the NEC4 contract suite for Sydney Water's "Partnering for Success" (P4S) Initiative.

Major Projects and Construction partner Chris Slocombe said the NEC recognition reflected the vision and commitment of Mark Simister (Head of Delivery Management) and the Sydney Water team to innovation and collaboration.

"The adoption of the NEC4 contract suite at an organisational level is a first in Australia. P4S will be watched closely by industry and government, as government agencies look to stimulate the economy in a post-COVID19 environment by fast-tracking infrastructure investment.  Success will require government agencies to adopt more collaborative procurement processes and delivery models, and P4S has demonstrated that industry is willing to try new approaches to achieve best for project outcomes.  It has been a pleasure working with the entire Sydney Water and HKA team.  We wish them all the best for the delivery phase."
