Media Release: Clayton Utz advises Sweden's Byggfakta Group on acquisition of BCI Media Group

Sydney, 28 October 2021: Clayton Utz has advised Swedish-based global business intelligence provider Byggfakta Group (Nasdaq Stockholm: BFG) on its acquisition of BCI Media Group Pty Ltd (BCI Media Group), creating a powerhouse in construction industry data intelligence solutions.  The transaction completed on 22 October.

Byggfakta Group is a leading software and information company within the construction industry. BCI Media Group is a B2B information provider for the construction industry in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the US.

The acquisition will enable Byggfakta Group to expand its operations internationally including in Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, New Zealand and the United States.

Corporate partner Samy Mansour led the cross-disciplinary Clayton Utz team that advised on the transaction, with the core team comprising partner Simon Brady, senior associate Mariam Azzo and lawyers Charis Chan, Julie Wong, Cloe Jolly and Danielle Crowe.  They were supported by a team contributing expertise across a range of practice areas including Workplace Relations, Superannuation, Data and Privacy, Real Estate, Litigation, Intellectual Property, Banking and Finance and Competition.
