Clayton Utz partner Dr Ashley Tsacalos was recognised as Australia's Government Partner of the Year at the 2023 Lawyers Weekly Partner of the Year awards.
Ashley said the award was recognition of the "incredible work" undertaken by his "dedicated team". In addition, Ashley said it reflects the confidence and faith shown by his clients who have entrusted him and his team with some of the most challenging, sensitive and complex matters in the country — matters that attract significant media attention and capture the interest of the public generally.
Winning this award is a true reflection of my team's dedication and commitment to deliver high quality outcomes in compressed timeframes, and the clients who have trusted us with their most important matters for which it is an honour and a privilege to work on. It is a privilege to be recognised among other outstanding legal professionals in the industry.
Ashley was one of six finalists from our firm, including Owen Bourke (Innovator of the Year), Samy Mansour (Commercial Partner of the Year), Caroline Bush (Government Partner of the Year), Amanda Lyras (New Partner of the Year, 3 years of less), and Peter Feros (Taxation Partner of the Year).
The Lawyers Weekly Partner of the Year awards are held annually and highlight "professional development and innovation, showcasing the individuals who are leading the way in the industry".
