Media release: Clayton Utz advises on AirTrunk's acquisition by Blackstone and CPP Investments

In the largest deal of 2024, Australian law firm Clayton Utz has advised AirTrunk Founder & CEO Robin Khuda on the company's acquisition by Blackstone and CPP Investments.

AirTrunk is a pioneering Australia-based hyperscale data centre platform founded by Mr Khuda in 2015.

With a deal value of $24 billion, the acquisition is not only Australia's largest in 2024, but the largest datacentre deal globally. 

Clayton Utz Tax Partner Brendon Lamers advised Mr Khuda on the successful close of the acquisition by Blackstone and CPP Investments. Mr Lamers was supported by Senior Associate George Hempenstall.
