Media release: Marisa Veerman wins 2024 Clayton Utz Art Award for ‘Way of Being’
Marisa Veerman has won the 2024 Clayton Utz Art Award for her piece ‘Way of Being’. Marisa walks away with $20,000 to support her in continuing her passion.
Our People’s Choice winner was Michaelah Ariel Baburin for his piece ‘A Splash of Cockatoos’.
Clayton Utz Brisbane partner-in-charge Scott Sharry congratulated Marisa and Michaelah: “Every year, I’m blown away by the incredible local artists who submit their works for our Clayton Utz Art Award. It’s a privilege to support Queensland based emerging artists. Congratulations to our winner Marisa, all our finalists, and People’s Choice winner Michaelah.”
The finalists work will be on display in the reception area and meeting rooms on Level 28 of the Clayton Utz Brisbane office for the next 12 months.

The Clayton Utz Art Award, now in its 17th year, is an initiative to encourage, reward and promote Queensland artists.
