Clayton Utz has advised an investment vehicle sponsored by Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing, the global private real estate investment management arm of Morgan Stanley, on its acquisition of a 50% interest in a portfolio of warehouses across New South Wales and Queensland.
Frasers Property retains a 50% stake in the portfolio and will take on property and asset management for the portfolio, which is currently fully leased. The new joint venture represents Frasers Property Industrial's first capital partnership in Australia.
Partner David Wilkie and Special Counsel Francis Yuan led the multidisciplinary Clayton Utz team with support from Partners Claire Smith and Lina Fischer, Special Counsel Leighton Smith, Senior Associates, Gina Yeung and Richard Siou and Lawyers, Ellie Flannery, Anna Sumsky, David Lean, Jessica Lighton, Alyssa Taylor and Chelsea Tsang.
