Structured Products

Our Structured Products Group offers depth of experience at the cutting edge of structured products. Working closely with leading issuers, we have developed the legal structures underpinning many of the most popular and tax-efficient products of recent years.

Overview

Our experience traces back to our involvement in the original documentation of instalment warrants and covers just about every structure since. We advise on everything from vanilla warrants and OTC derivatives, through to some of the most complex tailored structures with very specific capital protection, leverage and risk requirements, spanning the full spectrum of underlying asset classes.

We recently advised Macquarie Bank on MQ Gateway which was awarded Pacific Prospect's "Innovation of the Year 2007" Award.

We offer:

  • Integration: an integrated team of tax, equity and debt derivatives, securities, managed funds and superannuation experts, each with extensive experience in developing and implementing structured products.
  • End-to-end input: integrated end-to-end expertise from early brainstorming sessions to product terms sheet development and through to documentation, implementation, issue and promotion.
  • Track record of innovation: a proven track record of working with leading issuers in developing innovative solutions to match investor demands.
  • Australianisation: extensive experience in translating products and concepts developed overseas into the Australian tax and regulatory environment.
  • Simplicity: a track record of adopting best practice clear concise and effective disclosure to translate complex products into simple, scaleable product formats.
