Overview

Anna has extensive experience in advising on employment, industrial relations and safety issues. Anna advises and represents clients in both contentious and non-contentious matters, such as employment advice and litigation, unfair dismissal and adverse action, equal opportunity and anti discrimination, managing industrial action, enterprise bargaining and preparing employment and contractor agreements. She also regularly helps clients with executive and director engagement, termination matters, due diligence and corporate transactional support, complex restructuring and workplace change programs. Anna has run many large scale pieces of litigation and employee entitlement reviews and remediation programs.

Anna advises Boards regularly and currently is Chair of Council at St Hilda's Anglican School for Girls and a Director and Company Secretary at the Black Swan State Theatre Company.

Notable Work
  • Commonwealth Bank of Australia: acts in a variety of employment and industrial relations matters including running large scale Federal Court litigation and advises on many significant matters such as CBA's compulsory vaccination program. Anna was a member of the Royal Commission legal team and spent several months on secondment to CBA in Sydney.
  • Commonwealth Bank of Australia: represented in proceedings brought by the Fair Work Ombudsman and in a representative proceeding brought by the Finance Sector Union in the Federal Court in Sydney.
  • University of Western Australia: Anna acts in a broad range of matters, including recently appearing as Counsel in a successful defence of a breach of contract claim. Anna also runs workplace training at UWA.
  • Glencore Nickel / Minara Resources Ltd: advising on all aspects of employment, safety and industrial relations matters, and provides ongoing on a wide range of matters including negotiating enterprise agreements, strategic workplace change, right of entry, employee entitlements and managing ill and injured employees, employment contracts and policies.
  • Bellevue Gold: works closely on employment, industrial relations and safety matters as the operations have re-commenced production.
  • City of Wanneroo: assisted on its transition from a National System to a State system employer and worked with the City to apply for registration of its first State system industrial agreement.
  • Mineral Resources: collaborated closely with during a rapid expansion phase, delivering ongoing advisory services spanning various aspects of employment and industrial relations, ensuring smooth growth.
  • BHP: conducted thorough workplace investigations, showcasing Anna's capability in handling sensitive and complex workplace matters, while ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Large private investment house: works with a number of the portfolio companies for a large private investment house based in Perth, with operations all over Australia, across a variety of employment and industrial relations matters.
  • Bis Industries: assists across a broad range of contentious and non contentious matters in employment matters and enterprise bargaining.
