Cameron has over 25 years' experience advising on the development, protection and commercialisation of intellectual property. He is a trusted strategic adviser on major technology procurement and outsourcing projects, who offers an innovative and commercial approach to the project matters he works on.

Notable Work
  • Brisbane City Council: advised on the intellectual property and marketing arrangements for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympics Games.
  • Commonwealth of Australia: advised on acquiring the copyright in the Aboriginal Flag.
  • Queensland Treasury: advised on its project to replace the State-wide financial budgeting and reporting system.
  • UnitingCare Queensland: advised on a series of ICT projects underpinning its business transformation, including outsourcing ICT managed services, establishing a panel for delivery of ICT project services, procurement of cloud-based finance and customer relationship management systems (including design/implementation services), and telecommunication services procurement.
  • University of the Sunshine Coast: advised on the procurement of various IT systems and services including contact centre, CRM, learning management system, videoconferencing, storage network, ITSM, student portal, HR system and WiFi/wired network.
  • Local councils: advised on their core business systems, including Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay, Gold Coast, Ipswich, Wollongong, South Perth, Toowoomba, Livingstone, Banana Shire and Launceston.
  • Ceres Tag: advised on various aspects of its project to develop and commercialise a smart ear tag for livestock, including intellectual property protection and licensing, funding agreements, manufacturing arrangements, satellite service agreements and customer terms.
  • Australian Rail Track Corporation – Inland Rail Project: advised on arrangements for the protection of Indigenous cultural intellectual property.
  • Fortescue Future Industries: advised on IP issues relating to its joint venture with Incitec Pivot to establish a green ammonia plant at Gibson Island.
  • Forest Wind: advised on IP arrangements for a project to establish a 1200MW clean energy facility in Queensland.
