Lyndal's practice focuses on complex technology contracting and outsourcing matters, global and transformative digital projects, and data protection and monetisation.

Lyndal continues to lead legal support on a range of significant transactions including the procurement and through-life-support of global network services, cloud data solutions, data rich acquisitions and disposals, and a range of other application and infrastructure services, primarily for dominant players in the financial services and retail and consumer sectors.

  • Acted for a leading provider of integrated financial services on technology, IP and data protection matters, including its contractual arrangements with telecommunications suppliers, the procurement of data centre space and associated services, and the procurement of asset finance and invoice finance software solutions.
  • Acted for a global financial services group on its licensing and support arrangements with SAP.
  • Lead advisor on technology, IP, data protection and commercial aspects of mergers, acquisitions, disposals and corporate reorganisations, including those in the technology, retail and consumer, industrials, transport and financial services sectors.
  • Advised a global luxury vehicle manufacturer on privacy and data protection matters including in respect of intragroup and external global data transfers, and third party provider data processing arrangements.
  • Acted for a leading Australian bank on the licensing of APIs to enable third party systems to interoperate with core lending platforms.
  • Advised on a leading European vehicle manufacturer on privacy and data protection considerations connected with the sale/use of certain products in Australia.
  • Continues to advise the US owner and operator of premier restaurant franchises on privacy and data protection matters, including respect of recent Australian acquisitions.
  • Continues to advise Transport for NSW on significant digital transformation projects, including for the providing of managed network, workplace and hosting services.
