Overview
Tim has over 12 years' experience, specialising in project finance, acting for sponsors and financers on significant project developments and acquisitions. Tim advises on energy and infrastructure development and acquisitions, particularly focusing on renewable energy and associated infrastructure.
Prior to joining Clayton Utz, Tim spent 5 years at a Magic Circle firm in London where he advised on some of the most significant offshore wind projects in the UK and Europe. Tim also has substantial experience in Australia advising sponsors and financiers on renewable energy development and financing.
Notable Work
- Nexif Energy: Advised Nexif Energy and Denham Capital on their sale of a portfolio of solar and wind generating assets in Australia, Philippines, Vietnam and Thailand.
- Golden Plains Wind Farm: Advised financiers on the project financing for Golden Plains Wind Farm. The project will be developed in stages and is set to become the largest wind farm in Australia upon completion. The transaction was named Asia Pacific Renewables Deal of the Year in the annual PFI awards.
- Walla Walla Solar Farm: Advised financiers on the project financing of Walla Walla Solar Farm.
- Ratch-Australia: Advised Ratch on a portfolio refinancing of their Australian renewable assets.
- Ravenswood Gold Mine: Advised Ravenswood on all aspects of their project financing of a significant mine upgrade and expansion project.
- Goldwind: Advised financiers to Goldwind on a stapled financing for the sale of Clarke Creek Windfarm.
- Southern Downs REZ: Advised Powerlink on the financing of Southern Downs REZ in Queensland.
- CWO REW: Advised financiers to a consortium on their bid to develop the Central-West Orana REZ.
