You've heard about the idea of the right to disconnect? Well, how would you feel about being paid a stand by allowance?
If you're an employer, and you want to get in touch with one of your staff members to ask them if they want to come in and work an extra shift, or if you've got a question for them about what they were doing during their shifts, soon that staff member may have the right to not respond to you outside of work hours. However if you're prepared to pay them a stand by allowance then, there can be a two way conversation.
