Angus Roy
Clayton UtzAngus Roy is a talented and well regarded practitioner in real estate who focuses on the management of clients' assets and how to best meet their business needs. Angus brings with him his experience of working in London for 10 years and is qualified in both New South Wales and England and Wales.
Angus has acted for both Government agencies and private sector developers across a range of large-scale property developments. He has particular experience advising on complex transactions including the interaction of new developments with disposal of land as well as leasehold and freehold structuring as part of larger corporate disposals or acquisitions.
Angus works across a range of industry sectors including corporate due diligence, logistics, major projects, public and private health care and retail. During his time in Sydney, he has been involved in helping with the legal strategy for Build to Rent as an asset class in NSW for part of the NSW State Government and assisting a large retailer on their leasing strategy as part of a major ASX transaction.
- Developments: Angus advises on a range of large-scale developments for clients including AXA and Stockland. He worked closely with Government on a major NSW social housing project.
- Angus advises on major transactions including the NSW component of a $4bn Industrial Portfolio sale.
- Angus worked on the team advising a Foreign Investor of 49% of the units in a Unit Trust and development of associated structuring and transaction documents. The Development will be constructed into a new office tower in Sydney with a total development value of over $1bn
