Clayton Utz alumnus Hugh Brolsma has returned as a partner in the firm's national Corporate team based in Sydney. Hugh will further add to the firm's expertise and bench-strength in M&A.
Hugh brings M&A capability with a particular focus on private capital transactions, as well as senior in-house experience at a leading global investment firm. Hugh's experience covers a range of sectors including infrastructure, financial services, telecommunications, media and sports. Over his career, he has advised on cross-border and domestic mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, reorganisations, initial public offerings as well as general corporate law and commercial matters, both in Australia and London.
Corporate, M&A and Capital Markets National Practice Group Leader Stephanie Daveson says:
With over $100 billion in private capital assets currently under management in Australia, there's a lot of opportunity in the space. Hugh's addition to the team helps to build on our expertise in private capital transactions and the support we provide our valued clients in this area. We're excited by the opportunities here and it's a pleasure to have Hugh return to Clayton Utz.
On his appointment, Hugh Brolsma says:
Clayton Utz has been pivotal to my career and returning to the firm as part of the partnership feels like coming home. It's an exciting time in the world of private capital across many sectors and I'm looking forward to working with the firm's great team and clients.
